Position Title: Patrolman
Significant Points:
Hired individuals will be required to perform duties as a Patrol
Officer. Currently, shifts are 8 hours and rotate on a 28 day schedule
from Days-Afternoons-Midnights. District provides Uniforms
Allowance, Health & Life Insurance,Longevity, Holidays, Vacation and
Personal Days.
The applicant must have distant vision of at least 20/70, uncorrected,
in the stronger eye, correctable to 20/20; and at least 20/200,
uncorrected, in the weaker eye, correctable to at least 20/40; and must
be free of any significant visual abnormality.
The applicant must have normal depth perception.
The applicant must have normal color perception.
The applicant must be free from any other significant visual
abnormalities.
Working Conditions:
Police officers must possess the decision making ability to know when to
apply the appropriate muscle. Think about it, a Police Officer has the
power to intrude upon an individual’s civil rights, make life altering
decisions reference the citizen he/she is dealing with, or, ultimately,
take a person’s life. As you can see, deciding to become a Police
Officer is not a decision for the faint of heart or one who lacks

Employment:
Entry Level Salary: $40,959 annual
Academy Graduate: $44,293 annual
Top Pay: $49,555 annual
